It's very easy, quick and delicious, and will make you feel like you're in a luxury cafeteria. Follow these steps and enjoy your favorite fall drink at home.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup pumpkin puree (you can use canned or make your own)
- 2 teaspoons of brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups of milk (you can use whatever you prefer, I use almond)
- 1/2 cup of strong coffee or espresso
- Whipped cream and more cinnamon to decorate (optional)
Instructions:
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, mix the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and vanilla. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until hot and bubbly.
- Add the milk and beat with a whisk or immersion blender until foamy and well combined. If you want it to be hotter, you can heat it a little more in the microwave or on the stove.
- Pour the coffee into two large cups and then divide the pumpkin mixture between the two. Stir well to incorporate.
- If you want, you can top your drink with whipped cream and sprinkle a little more cinnamon on top. And that's it! You now have your own homemade pumpkin coffee drink, ready to enjoy. Health!
